Welcome to our blog! The purpose of this blog is to share ideas, resources, and be supportive for those of you who are raising grandkids, great grandkids, etc. As mentioned in the opening we are in Ohio and our Area Office of Aging has reported 238,921 children live in homes where the householders are grandparents or other relatives. I cite this statistic not to bring shame or for shock value, but to say thanks to all those who do what needs to be done daily for the kiddos and to let you know there is a community out there to support you. You are not alone.
We plan to post a couple times a week to get started and as other significant discoveries occur. I have enabled ads to start, but will be monitoring if this works or not for the spirit of the blog!

- No names or personally identifying information and please no sharing of situation specifics. This is not a place to call out people or to bad mouth the parents. This is for focusing on what is important and that is providing a caring, nurturing environment for the kiddos.
